Janine has earned and maintains the following credentials:

Masters of Acupuncture (M.Ac.), in 1992, from the Traditional Acupuncture Institute (TAI) in Columbia, MD, having completed a rigorous, 3300-hour course.  TAI is a fully accredited institution teaching Five-Element Acupuncture that has its origins in, and relies upon, ancient Chinese texts, the foundation of Traditional Oriental Medicine. 

Diplomate of Acupuncture (Dipl.Ac), in 1996, upon completion of requirements for, and passing of, a two-day regimen of written and physical testing by the U.S. National Commission for the Certification for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). 

Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT).  After ten years of massage training and licensure in the State of Maryland, completed 570 hours of additional massage training, in 1999, from American Institute of Massage Therapy (AIMT) and Massage Professionals, in Kailua, Hawai`i, to fulfill the prerequisites of a Hawai`i Massage License.

Janine has the following, additional Certifications and Training:

Studied with Dr. J. R. Worsley, Dr.Ac., world renowned Master Acupuncturist:  In 1991, completed a one-month clinical internship at the College of Traditional Acupuncture in Leamington Spa, England; In 1997, attended a Practitioners Seminar of Treatment Planning in Columbia, MD; In 2000, attended a Patient Treatment Planning and Observation in Bethesda, MD; In 2001, completed a six-day Classical Five-Element Acupuncture Advanced Teachers Training in Miami, FL, for which she received a Basic Teacher Training Certification.

Served as Supervisor of Student Practitioners at several mainland Acupuncture clinics, 1993-1997

Deep Tissue Massage Therapist Certification, in 1989, by the Institute for Integrated Therapies in Washington, DC

Reflexology Training; 20 hours in 1990

Zero Balancing with Dr. Fritz Smith, MD, DO, MAc(UK), FCCAc; 36 hours of Core 1 (Energetic Bodywork) in 1991 and 36 hours of Core 2 in 1995
