Summer, when the sun is at it's northernmost point in the sky. We have the
longest daylight of the year. The sun is considered Yang. It gives
energy and causes action and upward rising movement. |
|
Summer is nature's season of growth and maturation, a high point of interaction
with others and with the world around us. This flow of the Fire Element
energy--this motion to flourish and create harmony--is associated with the
Heart. |
|
Summer is the season of light, of brightness, of joy...the celebration of
life. The Summer fire exists within us as the ability to develop
partnerships and warmth in our personal relationships. |
|
The
Heart is associated with Summer and with the Fire Element. The Heart has the ability to rule, to understand, to see clearly. In ancient
times, the Chinese saw it as the "Supreme Controller" of the kingdom
of our Body, Mind, and Spirit. |
